Strength Training Without Weights

So, I have a friend who at the moment, cannot afford to buy weights *but is looking to do so in the near future.*( Probably sometime after her next paycheck, two or so weeks from now. ) She wants to lose a little bit more weight and tone up some more before she works up the confidence to go to the gym, but until then, she still wants to look into strength training. She asked me for some exercises that she could try to do at her house, and I told her I'd get back to her on it later today or tomorrow morning.
What do you guys have in mind?
I'd like to get opinions from several other people~

I really love ChaLean Extreme, and anyone can do the excercises with the tubes. There're separate instructional videos "just" about how to use the tubes, what I think it's very important when someone starts strenght training.
