"Bump"?

I've been logging for 35 days now, but I'm gonna show my true "newbie" colors ... what is the "bump" thing about? Like fist bump? LOL ... could someone shed the light?

    I think it is to move the topic posted to the top of the listed so people see it and reply :-) When someone posts, the topic is moved to the top, so Bump is just a term they picked.

    ^^ that, plus it puts it in "my topics" so you can easily find it again.
