Late night cravings

ok, so more like 8-9pm cravings! I have such an issue with this, and constantly give in! As soon as my kids are tucked in bed and im ready to relax for a bit, thats when the tummy rumbling starts. Any help is appreciated. Tx.

  • Mhmmm....you are not alone........try to allow yourself a bag of air popped popcorn. I usually do the 100 bags. Lots of good fiber! A banana with a TBSP of Peanut butter is great too! It comes in about 200 cals, but you get your sweet and protein craving knocked out in one serving!! Good luck;)

    Almonds and strawberries might help.

Drink a big glass of water and go to bed! Or eat a handful of raw almonds.

If I'm just trying to snack and not actually hungry I'll Munch on a large pickle or cut up cucumbers. if I'm actually hungry I eat meat
  • going to bed is not even an option. DH and i have a few hours at night and i can't take that away from him. we both work and we have two toddlers. lol. I need something thats either going to curb my cravings til i go to bed at midnight, or im gonna have to start taking a sleep aid and go to bed at 9. Although i'm not sure waking him up at 4am so we can have a few hours to ourselves is a great idea either. I may throw the idea out there for him to ponder tho....

Yeah, I guess going to bed that early would be hard. Almonds, berries, any veggie (try jicama!) and some hummus to dip.
  • im gonna do hummus and carrot sticks tonight if i must. I tried moving my whole schedule so that the kids eat at dinner time but my hubby and i eat an hour or so later. hopefully this takes care of it and i won't give in tonight. :-)
