Invisalign, running and eating: help!

Hey everyone,
I'm a second year med student, a runner and I'm getting invisalign. I'm worried about all the time it will take to floss, brush, rinse after every snack. My usual schedule looks like this:
6 am: Wake up, eat light before morning run
6:50: out the door for 3-4 miles
7:45: back- breakfast
8-10:30: study
10:30: snack (carrots, yogurt, whatever adds up to around 150 calories)
10:30-12:00 study
12:00- lunch
12:30-3 Study
3:00 Snack (same as above
3-6:30: study
6:30- Dinner
6:30-9:00 Study
9:00: last snack of the day (usually soy milk)
I usually eat around 1500 calories/day, anything below that and I am lethargic. I'm not keen, however, on having to eat 500 calories at every meal because of food-coma. Can anyone help?

Tricky one. Personally I eat around 2000 calories day only in three meals and no snacks. I don't get a food coma after eating 500 calories?! I also run and run before meals - I notice you set your up to be back for breakfast. To avoid the food coma maybe eat higher calorie items rather than filling on low ones that will cause discomfort? I find eating higher calorie meals negates the need to snack because they keep me satiated.

Just a thought. But it is essentially up to you how you end up time managing your diet/cleansing/exercise regime into something that suits you. :flowerforyou:

Don't worry, my brother-in-law and sister both have invisalign, and Brandon (the brother-in-law) has a very healthy lifestyle including ultimate frisbee and jogging every other day. He keeps his teeth and such very clean and has gotten so used to this care that he can do this pretty fast and not in the typical places. No one is bothered that sometimes he brushes his teeth at the sink so he can stay in a conversation. If anything he just doesn't snack on the unhealthy stuff because he views it as a waste of time because he would then have to brush and floss again. Not to mention it goes so quickly!

Allow me to add that he does take time for snacks between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner... like I said he just makes sure to plan it out a bit better. You may not be able to have as many spur of the moment snacks. But it looks like you have your days scheduled pretty well.
