A two-day binge

Ok, I fell off the wagon for a couple of days, which consisted of eating way too much sugar! Because of that, I feel very depressed and sluggish today. I read somewhere that it takes 21 days to change a bad habbit. Twenty one days can seem like forever when you CRAVE the "white stuff"! Pastry in any form (donuts and Starbucks scones being my fav!) is the hardest with dark chocolate coming in a close second. If I didn't have My Fitness Pal to vent to, there would be a third day for sure! So, thanks for letting me vent. I wish a healthy choices day to all who read this little note. :0)

    I fell off for four days. Pizza, apple fritter, chocolate cake, and topped it off with something from burger king. When I got home, it was over and I feel much better after 4 days of good choices.

    I fell off for 3 months and 20 pounds... and enjoyed every day of it.

    I have fallen off for 3 weeks and let me tell you today isn't the day I am getting back on...

    well, imagine this, currently I am like running for the wagon and barely holding on....my fingers are trying to hold on but my legs are painfully dragging on the ground while the wagon is driving.

    Question is...do I hold on or do I let go and wait for another wagon to come by. LMAO

    Yesterday after a day of errands and appointments I stopped at mcds and was going to get a grilled snack wrap. Well I did and a cheeseburger and a small fry. Went home annoyed with myself, and I figured out that I could fit it in my daily calories which made me feel better. Every day is a new one as is every meal just get back on. Good luck

    Why dont you reward yourself for your weigh ins. Say once a week if you loose what you are trying to lose in a week. Then treat your self to a small piece from starbucks. That way you are not craving it so bad. Its like being in a relationship that is not good for you. Eventually you start not wanting it anymore because little by little you are not craving it as much.

    See I just ate 2 cookies but hey it is only two. I will just run tonight to off set the calories. lol

    I am in your shoes exactly. I have fallen off for 3 1/2 weeks and I am now exercising, but still not eating the best. I come on here and read others posts a alot during the day everyday. I keep hoping that I will get that motivation back.
    I say hold on to the wagon...that is what I am doing and I just hope that I can get that spark and jump back on. For now I will just be drug along. Whenever I wait for another wagon, it usually does not come for about 6 months and 20 pounds later. I cannot give up. Neither can you!!! HH

    Let me tell you I used to be a big sugar addict. I found I had to completely cut it out of my life and after about a month I just didn't crave it anymore. I stayed on no sugar for about 6 months and now I'm able to have something sweet once and a while without it triggering the sugar addiction again.

    It will just take time and let me tell you it's so worth it once you don't have the sugar monkey on your back anymore.

    Now, I find if I eat too much sugar I just feel crappy! :smile:

    I enjoy the humor on here. :laugh: I would venture to say we all have ups and downs, :grumble: good days and bad days, :noway: good days and better days, :wink: bad days and not so bad days, :ohwell: on the wagon and off the wagon, :huh: pushing the wagon and being dragged along by it. :sick: We are so lucky to have each other to offer experience, strength and hope. :love: I enjoy the success stories and draw encouragement from them. I also enjoy the venting and the rantings and ravings. It's nice to know we share experiences and that we are not alone.

    I did see that you joined in Feb and I agree that cravings will pass when you don't give in to them. It's hard to believe, I know, that's when you draw on the experience of others who have gone before you and put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.
