Am I supposed to weigh it before or after it is cooked. Four ounces of raw chx weighs more than 4 ounces of cooked chicken, so which do you use? Same thing with fish too.

Great question! I weigh pretty much everything after it is cooked. The only thing raw I weigh is when I make hamburger. But I never really thought about it. I think I have seen somethings on the daily that say raw or cook.0

It depends. 4oz cooked is approx 130cals. When I am creating a recipe and I don't know the caloric value I usually weigh it raw.0
