Heavy lifting after operation.

Hello
I am having a minor operation next week to get a lump removed off my thigh. I have been told it will probably be around 2 weeks before I can start lifting again. I am currently on starting strength and have been for about 6 weeks. Was doing new rules for 5 months before that.
Anyhoo when I get back to it will I need to drastically deload? I am a little worried I will undo some of the good work I have already done. The stitches will be at the top of my thigh near my butt so don't fancy rushing to get back into squats in case I tear the wound open.
Any advice is appreciated.
