I started on my weightloss journey about 3 weeks ago and so far have lost 2 kilograms. I just want to make sure I am doing everything right, food and exercise wise to help me to continue to lose weight. I currently weigh 94.5kgs and I'm 5"9 and i want to lose another 18kgs. I did my BMR and took 30% off it for my daily calorie goal which is 1350. I exercise every day either doing a bodypump class at my gym, a weights and cardio workout at the gym or I go for a run on the days I dont go. I stopped drinking everything but water and milk and i have cut out all junk food and try to eat as much fruit and veg as possible. Is there anything else i need to incorporate or am i on track to be losing weight continuously?
Any help is greatly appreciated

i've been doing this for 2 weeks and have only lost 3lbs, so yes you are doing everything right, it just takes time, its normal to only lose like 2lbs per week0

Well, I may not be a math expert, but I think losing 2 Kilos in three weeks is pretty good. I think that is about 5 pounds? (I'm American)
If you're active and eat healthy, good job!0 -
Most would say it's better to find your TDEE and take 20% off of that. 30% off your BMR sounds extreme, but it's seems to work for you. Overall I say do what works but I think eating under your BMR (unless under the supervision of a physician or nutritionist) can be dangerous in the long run.0

Hi, and welcome to MFP. You don't subtract from your BMR. You subtract from your TDEE, which is the number of calories you use throughout the day. Your BMR is what you would need in a coma, so you don't want to subtract from it.
If you search the forums for "in place of a road map 2", it gives a lot of nice info. I will see if I can find a link. Best of luck.0 -
Yeah im also not familiar with the kilo's. but if you find your getting stuck, you can try upping your cals, upping your exercise intensity, activites, etc. Those little things may help.0
