100% Whole Wheat vs. Whole Grain

I have seen both these labels on several foods. Does anyone know if each is as healthy as the other and what the difference is between the two? I know that "whole wheat" is supposed to be a more filling, slower burning carb and therefore better for you, but am unsure if "whole grain" functions the same or if it is just a marketing gimick.

    I am just stating what I know off the top of my head, didn't look anything up so sorry if I'm not correct. Whole wheat is made from, well, wheat, while whole grain is made from several kinds of grain. In my experience whole grain will generally have a more "rough" texture. However, I believe whole grain may be slightly healthier for you since the variety of grains provide extra fiber and other good stuff. I usually buy whole wheat because it seems to be lower in calories, though.

    Whole grain just means it has some whole grains thrown in the rest is just flour like subways 9 grain bread be wary of whole or multigrain that doesn't say 100% before it.

    It depends on what kind of whole grain you buy. I like multi grain bread when it has sunflower seeds in it. Yum!
