I need help! Not losing, What's going on?

So, I've recently restarted MFP. A couple years ago if I ate less than 1400 and workout the lbs would drop super quick, like at least 2-4 a week. This time I've lost only 5 lbs in 30 days! And have been up and down the whole time (like today i gained .5 so technically ive only lost 4.5). I was 5 lbs heavier 30 days ago, disregard the 9 as that was from a few mos ago. Anyway, I'm working out everyday. I stopped eating Splenda as I thought I was possibly retaining water from that. I log everything except my herbal tea and water (drink tons all day so it's not an issue). Maybe I'm eating too much sugar (it's over for almost every week). I also stopped eating my excercise cals to see if this helps. I find fitness pal grossly over-estimates the calorie burn anyway. Any suggestions? My diary is public now. I'm thinking of incorporating juicing or no-carb because I'm getting frustrated :(

    I have not looked at your diary, but according to my doctor average and healthy weight loss is about 1 pound a week so it seems to me like 5 pounds in 30 days is not bad at all.

    I agree, there is nothing wrong with losing 5 lbs in 30 days. While it is frustrating at first, if you keep at it, that number will continue to grow. It's taken me 9 1/2 months to lose 34 lbs and I am super happy with that...that's approx. 0.8 lbs per week on average.
  • You are both doing great! I think it's just frustrating that I cant lose like I used to. I'll kep going, hopefully I'll look back 6 mos from now and see steady change :) I'm starting a new job next week that offers free lunch and snacks everyday so I'll be testing my willpower!!
