Hello guys. i have changed my goals abit as i was finding it hard to stick too. i have uped my calories to 1500 so its easyer to maintain and thought maybe if i do any exercise i wont write that in, im quite happy to only loose 1 1/2 pound or 2lbs a month as wont to do this slowly and steady. I have 12 months untill my wedding and want to loose 1 st 10lbs altogether.
what do you think Do you think i should eat more or less, i dont exercise loads but do go to the gym twice a week for 45 mins a time and try to walk alot. I am 5ft 5inches i currently weigh 175lbs and i am 28, i work in an office so am sat down alot during the working week. xx

Ive just upped mine to my bmr of 1700, although eating between 1500 and 1600. I go to the gym 3 - 4 times a week, each is an hours session and an extra 40 mins on "rest days" of light walking. Ive only just upped cals this week so cant tell if its working but already today I dont feel as fatigued so I know this way is more sustainable in the long run, Good luck x0

It is kind of hard to stick to the "goal calories" because it doesn't not adjust for exercise. i you look at the calories burned "From Normal Daily Activity" that should be your real reference. If you're under that, you're in good shape. If you exercise, add the calories burned to your normal activity calorie number. In general to lose a pound a week you should aim for a 500 calorie/day deficit. If you're not in a hurry, it'll be easier for your body and mind to adjust to smaller portions.
All of this is just guess work and should be taken as more of a guide than exact science. I've noticed that in general i overestimate my caloric intake and underestimate my calories burned. But I definitely notice that I pay attention not only what goes into my mouth, but how much. There's a huge difference between how your body processes healthy vs. unhealthy calories (ej.: a boiled egg vs. ice cream).
It sounds like you're on the right track and listening to your body.
Good luck!!0 -
Losing slowly is a good plan. I would consider upping your exercise.0
