How much water?

heh. It seems that all my posts are questions and/or polls :P How much water is everyone intaking daily? I usually guzzle a liter during my class, and then another liter and a half during the day in the winter. In the summer I can drink more, but in the winter I can't seem to drink more than 2 1/2 liters. That's 10 cups. Is that enough? The owner of my gym drinks 7 liters a day. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I can't even imagine, and is that even beneficial? I'm skeptical :P

Yes, I think 10 cups is good. I believe the suggested amount is 8 cups so you are doing well. I'm sure it's different for most people but 8 to 10 sounds about right. I struggle getting enough water in during the day so you are lucky that's not an area you worry about.
I can't imagine holding 7 liters of water a day (myself) but it depends on how often someone works out and the kind of exercises they do. Someone burning tons of calories would need that kind of hydration.

I drink about 10cups a day as well maybe a tad bit more. Too much water isn't good0

I heard that you can actually drink TOO MUCH water. I was drinking like 3-4 liters a day and then someone told me that its not good because you can drown your organs..and then die..so now im paranoid on how much to drink0

The best way to set your water intake is:
Take your body weight and divide by 2.
This is the number in ounces that you should be drinking.
Adjust as you lose.
You can drink too much water, but it really is too much. I don't think most people would drink too much on accident. Its more common for someone to drink too little water.
