I heard a lot of Soy keeps you from losing weight so watch out for that. Try drinking green tea and adding Cayenne pepper to your meals when possible. Those are good fat burners.
Yeah, this is probably why. Fad science =/= good science.0 -
I suggest cutting out half your avocado a day .. drinking a little more water .. and reduce or skip your post workout meals/drinks. I agree you shouldn't starve yourself on 1200 calories a day .. however, I think you should shoot for 1500 calories a day .. and don't eat back the calories you burned .. or at least .. don't eat back more than half of those.
I also suggest skipping this part- you need that avocado (the whole thing) to fix your muscles. YOU NEED THAT FOOD. NEED. And if youre burning more than 500 cals a day - try 16-1800 calories.
Yes! Don't buy into the "fat is bad" insanity! And as someone else mentioned, dump the soy and have a natural, healthy source of real protein... My research shows that soy is NOT healthy but if you think it is, keep having it in moderation, but add in some less processed proteins too. Peanut butter may not be the best source either, since many people have sensitivities to legumes (including me). Natural, healthy foods with lots of protein and fat are the only way to go for me.0 -

There's nothing that indicates a "fad" mentality in the advice that you quoted. I think they could have been more clear on the problems with soy, but most of us get tired of arguing.
It's no secret to most people around the world that foods are the best first treatment for illness and that most illnesses result from poor nutrition. But of course, eating natural, whole, culturally appropriate foods is the "fad" not the modern SAD that's only been around for 100 years or less (depending where one is from). Yup, ok, whatever.0 -
Your dairy for the past three days nets more like 1000 calories. (net on here is calories in minus exercise, remember that isn't all of your calories just the extra hardest working ones). I think the goal of 1500-1600 net is good so you just need to add another 400-500 calories. Maybe make sure you eat 3 real meals. I had the same problem for years and didn't know. I maintained my weight, but what a waste of hours in the gym and being hungry.0

well you asked lol. first the protien powders i would say no to, next more proper foods like veg and fruit, lean meat but small amounts lastly portion size, we think we are eating well but the size is way out, get a smaller bowl it makes you feel your eating loads, cheese should be no more than a match box size meat the size of a pack of cards and carbs like rice or pasta dried only enough to fit the palm of your hand. realy fill up on loads of veg. it works.0

The question was what can be changed to lose weight and fat is what can be changed the portion percentages are off. You need more leaner protein and to drink more water. At this point you are not gaining muscle until you lose more fat but you could be retaining water. Are your hands or feet puffy? Mine were until I upped my water and started losing by peeing more. Also my home scale does not reset properly and does not always change. You could try and weigh yourself someplace else. But if you are seeing results in feeling healthier and toner then stop weighing yourself for a while but continue to log everything. On days you burn more calories you need to eat more a net of 1,500 should be good.0
