Idk if I am in the right spot for this, but I am the prime definition of a picky eater. Growing up, we just didnt eat certain things. My mother was the cook, and since she was a picky eater too there are a lot of things that I never learned to eat. Fish, tomatos, onions, and most vegetables were never at our dinner table unless it was ketchup or stuff like that. I am trying so hard to "retrain" my mind for healthier foods, but I cant! For example, I tried turkey sausage because it was healthier than regular sausage. It was good, i couldnt tell a difference, BUT my mind knew that it wasnt what I was used to and so I physically couldn't eat it. This has also happened when I tried cooked spinach...I got really sick to my stomach and threw it up. I know it is all mental but I dont know how else to fix it. Anyone else going through/conqured this?

Cooked spinach doesn't sound like a great "gateway vegetable". I can hardly think of anything more gross to start out with if you don't like vegetables.

What healthy foods DO you like? Turkey sausage isn't exactly a health food, it's still sausage. Do you like any grilled meats? Are there any vegetables that don't induce a desire to vomit? What about carrots, sweet potatoes, raw vegetables?

Is there any method of preparation (baking, grilling, stew, soup, etc) that makes food more palatable for you?
