What should I log my activity as if I am sitting around much of the day, but I do insanity? Thanks!

Well, the way MFP is designed, you would log Insanity as additional exercise, so that wouldn't count as part of your activity level. So, MFP would give you a goal based on your activity level (probably sedentary if you really do sit around all day) and then you would log Insanity and eat back those calories. Unlike other calculators, MFP doesn't count additional exercise workouts as part of your activity level for calculating your goal. If you end up not doing the exercise you planned to do, you still have a calorie deficit based on your everyday activity.0

Thank you. I don't really sit around ALL day lol.. I am a stay at home mom so I do house hold things.. If I am going by 20% less than TDEE, would I still use a lower activity level?0

Chances are, if you're a stay at home mom, you're not sedentary. I'd go with slightly active (for MFP's calculations), and adjust as necessary if that's not working.
However, if you're using the TDEE-20% method, then you wouldn't do as I said above, the Insanity stuff would be included in your TDEE and you wouldn't log it as extra. So, your activity level would be higher than lightly active. If that makes sense. What calculator are you using to get your TDEE?0 -
fitnessfrog.com I am using. If I chose no exercise its 2132, light exercise its 2442, moderate 2753, etc...0
