A new BEGINNER TIPS menu button on this website PLEASE?!

Hello! I've been here for 10 days and I totally love it.
BUT, think I would have had a much better start had some basic information been easier to access. Thus far, I've only lost 0.8lbs. I'm not placing blame, I'd just like to help other newbies avoid the initial mistakes I made and there are probably tons of other tips out there that this community may be glad to share.
Wouldn't it be great to get a new menu button with some basic tips/information in it? At the very least, a key of abbreviations and/or instructions would be so helpful! How do you all feel about this?

Examples of my pitfalls:
1) the estimate of calories burned from MFP's database are NOT accurate! If you read that thread you'll see that some members who've been here for a long time had no idea about this either! Best tip from stumbling onto that thread was that I should invest in a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM).
2) I had been very happily eating back all the calories that I'd "earned" because I thought I could! The result is I've been backing into an (inaccurate) calorie counting diet instead of changing my lifestyle and my diet to go along with that. My fault certainly but it's still disheartening as "calories earned" is a deceptive phrase!
3) the food calorie count from MFP's massive database is really awesome - but you probably want to buy a food scale asap along with various measuring implements for your kitchen.
4) finally learned what "bump!" means but still have no clue how to do it. lol

Thanks! And, if you think I'm mad or stupid, please consider friending me out of sheer pity. Sometimes I feel like I'm just blundering around in all the forums. Good health to you all!
