Anyone run track in High School ?

I thought about it but never got the courage. I'm not a great runner but I know I'm getting there. For those who are wondering, If I was in college, I would have already graduated in May / June of this year...

    High school was a looooong time ago, but I ran the 300m hurdles and 4x400m relay. I hated running anything longer...my track coach would absolutely drop dead from surprise if he knew that I have turned out to be a damn fine marathon runner :)

    I competed in track in high school. I did the 100m hurdles, high jump, long and triple jump. But i absolutely hated long distance running, i still dont enjoy it lol.

    That's funny. I always hated sprinting because my legs weren't built for it. (I'm so slow)

    I loved track...did it from 6th grade through senior years of high school. Great social sport and co-ed.

    BUT I wasn't a runner. My events:

    Shot put
    Discus
    Javelin
    Tried Hammer Throw at invitational meets a couple of times!

    I did toy with hurdles and long jump in my early years, but I was stronger than I was fast :smile:
