Calorie Dilema

Hi - I'm new to MFP. I found it by accident when I was looking for a calorie count on something. I'm glad I found it. It seems great so far. There are so many people who are so inspiring!
Here's my issue: I started TapouT XT about 12 days ago (which is a great workout program). They have a 10-day Slim Down guide and then another "nutritional guide" that go along with the workout plan. Well, the first 10 days is VERY restrictive. I lost almost 10# in 10 days, but when I figured it up, I was only consuming about 700-800 calories a day. I'm to the "regular" part of the diet now (which gives more options), but I'm having difficulty staying within the "rules" (low carb, low fat, high protein) and still consuming "enough" calories to not put my metabolism into "starvation mode". I can't seem to hit the 1200 calories when I follow the "plan" - by the time I eat that many veggies, I am completely full. I know it sounds like a silly problem, but it's a concern. It seems like it's all or nothing for me. Either I eat way too much of the wrong stuff, or can't figure out how to balance the "right" stuff and get the right amount. I could easily max out my calories (and then some) with fatty "bad" food, but that would be going backwards. Suggestions, anyone? Please?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I am not a big meat eater either. I eat poultry and a little pork, but no beef and I'm not a fish-fan. :frown: Being a picky eater makes it harder to make the right choices.0
