can't stop snacking on junk

I have a dilemma here, I want to lose about 15 pounds. I eat pretty clean meals, the problem is I can't stop snacking on junk! I know it's hindering my weight loss, even though I push myself in the gym I haven't lost any weight due to my snacking habits. I think I eat enough, I feel satisfied at each meal. How can I make myself stop?!

For me, there are a few things that help.
    1) Healthier substitutes/not having junk around
2.) Do something with your hands - take up knitting. I can't eat mindlessly when I'm too busy fuddling with yarn.
    3) Just be aware. Focus on awareness and ask yourself if you are really hungry. (Do as I say, not as I do, for this one. I'm better with distractions.)

Good luck! I'm sure google/yahoo/interwebz have all kinds of info for this stuff too.

-Don't buy the snacks you indulge on in the first place
-Keep high protein snacks around, like nuts
-Log as you eat the snacks. If you can't, portion out the snack into serving size baggies so you can keep track of how much you are eating.

Just try not to have any junk available to you. When I grocery shop I use up allll of my budget on healthy food, that way I just don't have any junk in the house and I can't afford to buy any, either! This is the only thing that I have found works for me, but I still slip up sometimes.
