Any exercise tips?

Hi,
I recently started working out (about three weeks ago) and so far I've lost about 8 pounds or so. I've altered my eating habits and have been working out about five days a week with two days rest. I've also started biking twice a week, walking/running two days and some kickboxing the rest of the time. Can this be effective? I'm about 193 and am about 5'9". When I started I was 202. So is this a healthy routine? I have no idea as to how I should be planning my routine or what exercises would be good for weight loss.
