I've been looking at those magnetic bracelets and Tommy Gear. Anyone have any experience, good or bad??

    If you've got so much money you can't figure out how to spend it and are a big fan of placebos, then go for it. (Although I'll point out that sending me checks for large sums has been shown to have a major thermogenic effect, so you should try that one first.)

    If you want a new shiny bracelet that has no health benefits whatsoever, then by all means buy one. If you are thinking it will do something for your health, then do some research first and save your money.

    Magnetic bracelets and those "Liquid titanium" bracelets are about as effective as a full moon on your behavior. In other words, it sounds nice, but nothing will actually happen.

  • magic bracelets, rings or ear-rings are not the answer. If how-ever you see a pretty item in the store/on-line that you really really like make it a reward for skipping the treats and not skipping the gym.
