adding weight lifting calories

First off, yey for me! I did weights today when yesterday I thought there would be no way in hatties I'd be able to move my triceps!

My question is about adding the calories to MFP. I see I can add it under the cardio section and it will count towards my calories. We worked out for about an hour, but with all the rest times and moving between equipment I'm thinking it would be a 20 min or 30 min workout.

MFP says I would have burned about 65 calories. What if it's not true? Does that sound right? I'm not thinking it should be higher, but I don't know what number to expect. Just want to know if that sounds about right.

That number sounds reasonable. I generally put in half the minutes of elapsed time. What category do you use? I've been using calisthenics and circuit training but I don't think either really works for traditional weight lifting.

I just typed in strenght training under the cardio section. I'm looking forward to adding it to my weekly gym routine  Maybe circuits is more of what I was doing. Only free weights I used were for triceps and biceps.

Circuit is more like Crossfit or HIIT where you alternate strength with cardio, I believe.

I did a "group power" class today and the instructor said we burned 300-500 calories.
