Strawberry Cake! Low Carb, Low Cal, High Protein
Mmmm. I dunno about you, but I'd much rather have a slice of cake than a protein bar
Ingredients:
For Cake:
1/2 cup Protein Powder (I use Whey Gourmet Vanilla Ice Cream Flavor)
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp Milled Flax Seed
2 tbsp Fiber Supplement Powder
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
4-6 packets Sweetener (I used Truvia)
2 tbsp Light Butter, melted
1 egg
1/2 cup Egg Beaters (or other 2 egg equivalent)
1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
4 pumps Torani Strawberry Sugar Free Syrup
For Syrup Topping (1 serving, not for whole cake! Multiply by 8 if you want it for the whole cake)
1 tbsp SF Maple syrup
1 pump Torani Strawberry SF Syrup
Instructions:
1. PH oven to 350.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Add wet ingredients (NOT including the ones for the syrup topping) and whisk until the mix is homogenous.
3. Pour batter into a round baking pan. Place in oven for ~20 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
4. Remove from oven, cut into 8 slices and serve! Drizzle syrup topping over each piece when serving (I did not drizzle it over the whole cake b/c I thought it would get soggy).
Yields:
8 slices
~95 cals each
~1.5 Net Carbs
~9.5 g Protein
5.5 g fat
