for the lat pull down what are your goals? to do a pull up?
if so you might get a better prep for that by doing it in a position where you're more hovering over the seat rather than sitting on it. it looks weird but you engage your abs muscles more which you would use in a pull up/chin up.
Thanks for this tip. I'm doing the lat pull down right now because I can't yet do pull ups...but I want to be able to do pulls ups!0
