Getting close to goal weight...time to slowly increase cals?

Hi all, I'm after some input. I am 44-year old woman, 5 foot nine and 73 kg (about 161 pounds), 28.8 %body fat started this weight loss journey in July at 80 kg and 31 per cent BF. My goal is between 68-70 kgs (25 percent BF)and my MFP settings are "lightly active" - ie work from home but also chase around after kids etc. I try to get 30-60 minutes exercise every day (nothing flash - curves or a brisk walk, sometimes WiiFit).

At the moment I have it set at 1 pound a week, which gives me a calorie goal of 1470 and I eat back most (if not all) my exercise calories.

So, my question is, given I am so close to my goal, is it time to reset MFP to .5 pound loss a week, or perhaps set it manually somewhere in the middle of the two? I have lost weight before only to put it back on again, so I want this to be something I can maintain - while enjoying my food :)

FYI my TDEE is around 2200 and BMR about 1460

Thanks in advance ;)

I'd get to goal and then gradually increase to maintenance. I was close to goal, increased my cals as I was losing so quickly and now I can't get to losing again!
  • This is the FUN part!!! YES, slowly increase calories when you hit your goal. It's crazy all the extra food you can eat and maintain!!
