Is it impossible for mums???

I ask all mothers out there is it impossible to lose the baby weight???I dont know any more...it has been 16 months and once I stopped breast feeding it is near impossible for me,trust me I eat clean and healthy and exercise for 120 mins of fast pace walking and do 50 sits every second night and I am allways moving I cant sit still durning the day for long BUT I am telling you I am lucky if I lose 1kg in two months then its comes back on so I am not really losing,I am a big girl 5ft4 and 266 pound,I do have PCOS.I have lost 6 inchs of my waist but nothing really on the scale, anyone else experienced this? The main reason I ask this is because I recently was watching a doco about babies etc and a dr on the doco said that for some women that "they never lose the weight",this is really scary for me to come to terms with the fact that with all my hard effort I may just be destined to be obese:(

looking at your profile you also have PCOS and thats probably more a factor than motherhood. I have gone into each pregnancy a healthy weight and lot the weight quite quickly but my skin tone isn't what it used to be!

Give it time, eat lots of nutrient dense food, do cardio and strength training and it will happen.

Maybe having pcos you will need medication to assist. I have lost 50 pounds and now weigh 110. It took me a year of healthy eating, smaller portions and heaps of exercising, especially running. I have 3 kids. Good luck.

yeah, sounds like you need to return to the gp- a spot of metformin may be just what you need to help that insulin regulation. especially if you're putting in the effort and not seeing results. are you sure you're drinking enough water and getting enough sleep? and are you stressed at the mo?
i also have 3 kids, and am 20kgs lighter now than before i got pregnant with my 1st! although the weight may be a good focus it is imperative to remember how important it is to be fit. you can still be larger and relatively fit- i'm still 80kgs (170lbs or so) and remian clinically obese, and i'm a marathon runner. with all my fat bits jiggling and everything! don't let your weight stop you from achieving what you want.
