I have this app called PEDOMETER on my IPhone 4s and its amazing!! The app counts each step a person takes by detecting the motion of the person's hips. It also records the distance, calorie, time, speed, and average speed. It's a perfect tool..

Sounds like a good one. You might want to check out Mapmywalk.com. It is a really good one to and they have an IPhone app also.0

How does it work if you don't have the phone on your hip? I've seen these sort of apps on the android market.....but always have suspicion :P0

Well I use mines whenever I go to the park. I hold the IPhone in my hands since I don't have the jogging thingy that you can attach to you arms or waist. It works perfectly fine the one problem I have is the Pedometer doesn't keep a record of whatever data you acquire. You have to physically write it down to keep track of progress.0
