Should NET calories = BMR?

Hi, I'm new to this forum but really want to do this right without going into starvation mode.

I'm female, 5ft 6", weighing 166lbs.

The MFP has given me a recommended net calorie limit of 1200 calories per day.
I plan on burning average 360 a day through exercise and figure I should then eat 1560 on those days, correct?

However, my BMR is 1488. Should this be the minimum amount I should eat (on a rest day for example?) Or should 1488 actually be my NET figure, with 360 added on exercises days.

Would appreciate some opinions and maybe any experiences out there of trying both methods and what were the results?

I think is actually the same thing. So if you just round up to 1500, it will either stay at 1500 on rest days or be 1860 on workout days but with a net of 1500 if you eat all of those calories back. I would at least override MFP's setting and make your calories be 1500 (rounding to me is always nicer). You should not be eating below BMR, IMO. Good luck!
