New Kid On The Block...Sort Of!

Hey Everyone!
I joined MFP on 9/24/12 and so far I have been recording all of my meals daily. I know that is one of the main things we are supposed to do on MFP and seems pretty much like an easy thing to do. In theory it is, but I HATE taking time to record everything I eat. I've tried this before and to ME it is a royal pain in the butt and I never was consistent in doing it, so I quit recording my food intake in the past.
BUT!!! Having said that, guess what? I have been recording EVERYTHING I have eaten and documenting my exercise since I joined on 9/24/12. This is HUGE...for ME! I honestly didn't think I would stay with it this long so I didn't see the point of posting what I'm going to do, how I'm going to do it and what my goals are or even try to get support from the community or support the community.
I have been on similar sites before and effectively did NOTHING so I really didn't think I would take THIS site any more seriously than the others. I guess I had to PROVE to myself that I was FINALLY serious about taking control of my nutrition and weight loss. And for the record...I LOVE to make new friends and support people, especially when they have the same interests and goals that I do.
I'm a little shy in large groups until I get to know people, but one-on-one I tend to be quite the chatterbox. I tend to be a pretty open person so pretty much what you see is what you get. I treat people the way I want to be treated and I support and edify people as much as I can. God knows there is so much negativity in the world that drag people down.
My profile is public so you can see everything and read everything that MFP allows to be read. I have no qualms about admitting my age, strenghts and weaknesses. I try to be POSITIVE and share my experiences and journey with the hope that maybe what I share can be helpful in another person's life and quest to live a more healthy lifestyle.
At 66 and very happily married for 43 years you would think that I have ALL of the answers to ALL questions, but I don't. I can only share MY experiences and things that I did, do and plan to do to reach MY future goals, whatever they may be. My hope is that at LEAST one person would find some pearl of inspiration, motivation or hope that if someone like ME can achieve goals then they can too.
Well, as you can see I jabber a lot, even in the written word. I wish ALL of my fellow MFP'ers MUCH succes in their journey to fitness and living a more healthy lifestyle.
Blessings to all!
