Upping calories

I have my calories set at 1200. I thought mainly because I don't work and stay at home. Truth is, I'm always doing something. I rarely just sit for hours. I hang out on the computer for a few mins every hour or so, but that's about it. Today during my workout, my stomach was actually growling!!!! I'm just a little wary to change it. I'm working out 5 days at the gym a week for an hour and a half each time. Maybe just an extra 100 calories would help me. I don't want to mess up the weight loss though

Do you eat your exercise calories? If not, you might try that. I eat almost all of mine and I've been losing every week for three weeks now. When I did this in the past, I also lost consistently for months when I ate all my exercise calories.

Be careful that you don't work out too much. You could overtrain and hit a plateau very quickly.

Aye, exercising too much and not eating enough can stall your metabolism. It might feel a bit irritating to the mind to tack on an extra hundred calories or so, but that little bit extra will keep your stomach from growling, and keep your metabolism up.

OK I plan on upping it to 1300, but I don't want to do it over night and shock my body. I'm going to add it on by 25 calories at a time  I'm also thinking of taking real rest days. I've been doing yoga for about 45 mins on my rest days. I'll just add it at the end of the day on days I work out then for those 2 days (normally Monday and Thursday) not do any exercise... just be normal  That's what I'm going to do for now.

Also, today I've been gone all day. Worked out, then went shopping all day. When I'm at home all day I do get more hungry. I think I'm a bored eatter

I moved mine up from 1200 to 1300 and it did wonders. I'm still losing, so I'm sure increasing by 100 won't be a big deal. What can you really eat for an extra 25 cals a day? Increase to 1300, try it out for a few days, and if it doesn't work then just go back down. Good luck! :flowerforyou:
