Frozen Chilli Cubes

I'm making a pataks indian curry tonight which asks for a fresh chilli to be added. While shopping in Asda today I noticed some frozen green chilli cubes, as well as garlic, ginger etc. Although I'm using fresh chilli tonight I was wondering whether anyone had used the frozen ones before and whether they were any good?
