I haven't dated in over twenty years, but I will say that the man I married was not "my type," but he turned out to be my soul-mate.

Wendy, I know your married, but your involved in the thread now.............

If you were dating, it would be a guy completely opposite of you, you'd probably not even like him, and then you'd probably end up marrying the guy...........fall in love and live happily ever after.

Hubby *is* opposite of me in many ways, and yet on another level, we were made for each other. He is a Leo (fire sign) and I am a Pisces (water sign). He used to have a horrible temper, but I've "watered it down" with my patience and easy-going attitude. I originally intended only friendship with him. He is more than 15 years older than me, and he was still married to his first wife when we met. (Though they had been separated for a couple of years.) In fact, I paid for his divorce.

I was dating a couple of other guys when we met, guys that were closer to my age. I typically dated "nerdy" types because I am a nerd. Hubby is more of a hands-on type of guy and did building maintenance for a living, having dropped out of high school, gotten his G.E.D. and joined the military. (I hate the military! But he was long since out of the army when I met him.)

I will concede the possibility that if I hadn't followed my heart, I would have found another person to love. But I am glad that I decided that all that really mattered was that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with someone who I enjoyed talking to. Because once you get old, conversation is the high point of your day.

And I'm sorry, but I didn't even realize that this was a "game" thread.

I need to read more carefully, but I still haven't finished my morning coffee yet! I'm no good at these games.

You have a dreamy response............I like it!

It's not a game, persay.but the question is what it is..............so, since you were "above" me, I had to figure who'd you go with, I was close, right????????????????

It's all good, I felt/feel the same as you..........bout it.

Like a guy who plays in a rock band. He might have a look to him that is not mainstream. Hope that helps!
