Just wanted to maybe help people out here. I started at 235 3 weeks ago. today im 225.4. Ive been doing Intermittent fasting from the start and saw awesome results. I was really skeptical at first because of all this hype about starvation mode and eating too much carbs or trying to stay under 100g of carbs, or avoiding any kind of saturated fat etc. I was really desperate for something to work. I gave it a shot and so far great results. First week sucked because i was adjusting to the eating schedule so i was always hungry but now, im not hungry untill the times i break my fast. I fast from 9PM to 3PM so for a total of 18 hours and eat all my required calories within a 6 hour eating window. It works if you enjoy large portions of food to eat. And im not starving myself because at the end of a 24 hour day, im getting in 2000 calories. Just thought id throw this out there for anyone else thinking about it or is stuck in their weight loss progress. Anyone else using IF?

I have been doing a 16/8 split for the past 3 months - I dropped a lot of body fat and was told I looked ill! I was 217 and dropped to 210 on around 3000 calories a day.
Now I'm eating between 3500-4500 calories (usually average at 4000) I'm around 215 now, with low body fat - and building muscle daily. 16/8 is a perfect split - but for me too few calories and I quickly drop fat.
Eating required calories for your goal is critical.0 -
I was doing 16/8 and I really enjoyed it. It definitely helped me get my hunger cravings under control. Like you the first couple of weeks was tough getting used to it all but I did and I loved it. Unfortunately I'm back at school now and my schedule is crazy so it's a bit all over the place. I'm trying to get it back in check but we'll see. I definitely think it works although everyone's different.0

It worked great for me. There are many plans out there and they all work great. I use Eat Stop Eat and I like it best for Brad's excellent explanations and research that backs it up, but again there are many other plans out there and it's all quite flexible.0
