Hello!

I'm finally being brave enough to post on here...

I've been a member of MFP for about 6 months but only discovered the community (because I have been using my phone mostly) about 2 months ago. I've been reading lots of posts which have really motivated to get moving more and i completed 30 day shred about a month ago (during which I lost 7lb). Then I went on holiday and came back to the busiest I've ever been at work. And it's taking me a while to get back into things. So I thought I would start to join in the conversation a bit more to help me stop making excuses, get back into doing things properly and exercising and hopefully make some friends!

A bit about me: I am 33 years old, married for 8 years and have a daughter who will be 2 in a couple of weeks. I work part time (paid 3 days per week, the reality is I work 4) and I do a fair amount of volunteering locally. I live in a small village in the countryside and don't have access to a gym (and getting out in the evening is difficult anyway) which is my usual excuse for not exercising much especially now it's dark in the evenings... but I enjoyed 30 day shred and am keen to not loose what I got from completing that!

At my highest weight I was 180lb (I'm 5 ft 3), I got down to 160lb before pregnancy and this morning I weighed in at 141lb which means for the first time in over 10 years my BMI is 25 (and healthy)! But I would like to loose more weight and definately get fitter.

I'm the same, I had actually found MFP originally through the phone apps. Being online is way better though! (the app is ideal for logging while away from home). Hope you reach your goals! I'm also looking to add more friends that I can motivate, but that can also help motivate me in return! Please do add me :)

Thanks Tommygirl, I just have to make sure I don't get too adicted and then avoid exercise by being online, lol! I'm definately up for some mutual motivation... I need to keep on track!

Well hello, I was a lurker for quite a few months too, just reading other people's posts and absorbing all their advice but it is nice to have a few pals to keep yourself motivated and to provide support in return. Feel free to add me if you like. There's also a UK forum so you can meet people in the same time zone. I have some lovely pals in the USA but I tend to be going to bed when they start discussing lunch, which is quite strange some times
    Good luck on your journey!
