Hello all!
I'm pounce and am excited to start the latest chapter of my life
Im 25 (turning 26 in a couple of months) and have been overweight and obese most of my life.
Over the last 5 years I slowly lost weight by eating better and moving a little more (very little but hey! Im smaller than I began so~) I peaked probably around 235-240 lbs (Am not exactly sure as I refused to weigh myself-Only weighed myself after I began losing a little and the scale registered me at 230lbs)
I am currently 172lbs (with a height of 5 foot 5 inches!) and I cannot believe I am less than 40lbs to my goal weight! I am aiming to reach 135 (Depending on how I feel and look I may lose another 5 to 10 lbs so I can deal with fluctuations without feeling fat) and more importantly(!) a body fat percentage of 20%.
Its been quite the roller coaster ride but I am where I am thanks to where I was. I am truly grateful for all the knowledge I have accumulated.
I am super excited to pick up the pace and tackle these last pounds with everything I have!
Today I was just offered a management position at a Martial Arts gym I was checking out to get into weight lifting at! The owner was impressed with my genuine interest and enthusiasm to get fit and strong! I will have the privilege to use the gym and get trained by a fellow colleague who was once overweight and got amazingly fit himself. I will also be permitted to take part in Muay Thai (Thai Kickboxing) classes as well as several other martial art classes as and when I am ready!
I am beside myself! This was an opportunity I never expected and am not going to waste!
I cannot wait to meet others here who have and are working on getting to their desired level of fitness! I am going to become a mean lean fighting machine!! Woot!
