I'm pretty new at this calorie counting thing so I am wondering when you make a dish, say brown rice mixed with veggies, how do you know how many calories is in a serving of say a cup?

Calculate the total calories for the entire dish. Divide the calories by the number of serving to get calories per serving.0

This. I always use the recipe function and make 1 serving. Than eat like 1/2 1/3 1/4 of the entire thing.0 -
I don't understand the cup measurement, we don't really use it in the UK (or no-one I know does!).....I weigh all my food on my diet scales which go up in 5g's and go by the recommended portion serving on the packets so I get to learn what a sensible portion looks like!0
