The usual buttered popcorn is getting old. Anyone have any good recipes to share? I'm down for anything!

My family loves watermelon. I cut it into 1 inch cubes and we eat that while watching our favorite movies.
  • Cucumbers and hummus. Ohhh yeah buddy.

~ I've just discovered wasabi peas. They're crunchy and spicy - healthy too!
    ~ Frozen grapes
    ~ Cheese cut into cubes
    ~ Tortilla chips with salsa
    ~ Pudding Cups/Yogurt
    ~ Pretzels

    Really, the options are endless.

Cube some pineapple, slice some bananas, halve some strawberries. Thread one of each on a toothpick and enjoy.

To make even MORE epic dip one of the fruits in melted chocolate and roll in toasted coconut or crushed nuts before threading it onto the toothpick with the others.
  • I don't have a recipe, but maybe you can do a healthy mix of like.. cherrios and nuts and stuff. Kinda like Chex Mix.

Not all of mine are healthy, but as long as you don't go overboard I think they make great movie snacks (:

I second tortilla chips and salsa, yum!
    Pretzels too.
Apple Slices (try adding peanut butter sometime, it taste AWESOME!)
Crackers and Cheese (I personally love Laughing Cow Cheese. The Light varieties still taste pretty good too)
    Pumpkin seeds
Jelly Beans (I swear I've seen 100 calorie packs somewhere for these lol)
Toast with peanut butter and honey

Honestly I think anything can work as a movie snack as long as you keep it as just that - a snack.

I do seedless grapes (red or green) and Strawberries. If I want popcorn I normally enjoy eating it with no butter, sometimes spicy and sometimes sweet depending on the my mood.

    More traditional ones:
Arctic Zero or some other fro yo
Popcorn balls (add marshmallows to popcorn)
    Homemade pita chips and salsa
Pretzels (you can even get unsalted)
    Baked Chips
    Graham crackers

Or Change up your popcorn by adding:
Cayenne pepper to air popped (may have to spray butter or water on to make it stick)
Mini marshmallows to kettle corn and if you want some chocolate chips to make like s'mores
Fruit gummies (that way you get fruit in too)
Multigrain PB cheerios to any kind (it's so good)

Or Change up your idea of movie night snacks and do:
Mini PB and banana sandiwiches (just cut regular sandwich into finger size)
Ants on a log (pb, celery, and raisins)
Oatmeal with marshmallows mixed in (or regular mix-ins if want to stay healthy)
    Mini pizzas on sandwich thins
    Parfaits
    Fruit salad
    Hummus with pita and veggies
Tuna wraps (can wrap in lettuce of white corn tortillas)

Beetroot and yoghurt dip. Tastes good with low calorie Melba toast or similar
