So I have been doing weight training in addition to cardio, and I am getting a little bored with that. I have been hearing wonderful things about Jillian Michaels 30-day shred workouts. Has anyone here tried them? I would love to read some feedback about it!

I have been doing the Shred for 22 days or so, missed 2 days.............one day due to another intense work out and the other day because I needed a day of rest. I really like it and have been seeing results in my strength and my body changing. Although I don't think loosing 20 pounds in a month is realistic unless you have a lot to loose. I mix up the three levels and i still have to modify some of the exercises. I'm a big cardio nut, so this program helps me do sit ups, push ups and some strength training. You can get the DVD from Walmart 10 bucks. Good luck.

P.S. This is not my only workout, I do other cardio workouts throught the week, it suppliments what I do. :)

I also do the 30 day shred. I'm on day 12 and doing the Level 2 work out. For me, it's quite intense and really gives me a good work out. I do it daily at the moment, but when I'm done with the initial "30 days" will probably mix up the work outs with the couch to 5K and incorporate a day off each week. but I'm determined to stick with this for 30 days!

I also don't think the "lose 20 lbs in 30 days" is realistic unless you have quite a bit to lose. The work outs can be as easy or as difficult as you make them - obviously the more intense the work out, the more calories you burn.

I got my DVD at Costco for $7.99.
  • I'm glad to hear y'all like it! I def. think I am going to try it. I am use to doing weight training, and just doing my 35-45 minutes of low intensity cardio afterwards, so I hope maybe this will give my workout routine a shake up. 20 lbs in 30 days does seem like its more for someone who is just starting to use weight. I guess I am not so much concerned with the actual weight number as the inches. Good luck to you both and thanks for the replies!

I love this DVD. I've been doing it since September, but I don't do it everyday. It has definitely helped me tone and develop some muscle. Plus, today, I realized I can do push-ups - have NEVER done them before! Thank you, Jillian!! Give it a try - I'm sure you'll like it.
