So the kids wanted to eat at subway, ok. so I try to make mine as healthy as possible, I take whole wheat, chicken (not the processed slices) no cheese, no sauce, just a whole bunch of veggies....and I mean a lot! then I want to trade the cookies for a salad....they charge 2 freaking dollars..:noway: .for a salad made of damn iceburg lettuce a couple of cukes and tomatoes....COME ON, your 2 cookies that are free with the trio isnt much cheaper than your crappy salad!
I dont understand....shouldnt they charge for the cookies instead and give the salad for free, maybe some people cant afford the damn cookies and will eat a nice healthy (said very very quickl since iceburg aint much) salade:grumble:

They charge you more for the "healthier options" cause to them it's not as cheap to make compared to the other processed stuff. You could've probably made subs at home for 3 days if you bought the ingredients made made them yourself. The only time I go to fast food nowadays is during long road trips and the only place I stop at seems to be subway due to their healthier than other places stuff.0

Why don't you just ask for extra lettuce on your sandwich? It'd have the same effect on your hunger.
Iceburg really isn't the most filling/nutritious type of salad you can have anyway. And unfortunately in this economy, fresh foods cost more than processed junk. It's not like they do it on purpose to spite people who want to eat healthy, it's just the way it is. It's up to you to decide what's worth it & what's not.
& I second the guy who said making your own sandwiches would be cheaper too.0
