was up in the night for over 4 hours due to some bad news....
this means i slept well past breakfast, woke up at 11am, so skipped breckie...

does this mean i still have to use the 1220 cals throughout the day in lunch and dinner or just take some off for the breckie i missed ????

Help appreciated..

Sorry for your bad news. Eat your cals the same, you probably burned more cals awake than if you were asleep for those 4 hours.

Just spread the calories out through the day however it suits. It doesn't matter what time you eat them. One day of under-eating isn't going to hurt you, but 1220 is already quite a small amount; I know I'd be pretty hungry if I was cutting more from that amount.

ETA: based on an earlier post you made about losing quite a lot of weight in a short space of time, and not eating very much... it would probably be a good idea to try to get accustomed to eating all your calories for the day.

You get 1220 cals a day. It doesn't matter if you eat 1 meal or 12.

Make them up. Otherwise you'll need to make them up later.

You don't HAVE to do anything... but, you are already set at a low calorie intake for the day, so personally, I would eat your calories. During times of stress, it can sometimes be comforting to have something stable to look forward to... stick to your daily goals.
  • Thats the amount that it gave me when i put my weight height etc in.. i never choose that amount lol xx

My opinion is that the calories are per day. As a diabetic I eat a meal, a snack, a meal, a snack, a meal and a snack so I am learning how foods to keep my calorie intake under my limit eating that often. My doctor has told me to be careful skipping meals and getting calories, fats or carbs too low because your body needs a nice balance to function. Good luck and may your coming days bring light into your world.
