weight lifting burn

I have been lifting weights with a trainer for about a month now. I do a 10 minute jog before I start and we intersperse cardio throughout the workout. I definitely feel like I'm working hard, at fatigue by the time I finish my exercises and getting my heart rate up periodically. I recently started wearing a bodybugg and it calculated that I burned an extra 50 calories during this week's 1-hour workout (not including the warm-up jog). Is that possible?? It just seems crazy to me, considering it estimates that I burn about 200 calories from every 15 minutes of running (which seems incredibly high and I don't trust that either). What do you think?
