About 4 years ago I did my first and only bodybuilding show, I think my last but not because I didn't like it. I have that check in the box.
I've always wanted to run a marathon and I've found one next Sept 2013 first I'll run some 5k's and some 10k's then a half marathon around april or may.
I was a 250 pound junk food eating, beer drinking guy as I faced forty but now the feeling of being in shape is the best drug ever.
Their's been some set back in the last 6 years but I've never given up and as it looks right now by the time I'm 50 I'll be in the top shape of my life.
It's not easy you have to want it you have to be able to see some bumps in the road you will fall down over and over, get up it will make you proud and strong.
one last thing something that got me through some tough times, "sitting on the pity pot only puts a red ring on your butt"

I am just 3 to 4 months back after completely falling off the wagon. 6 years ago, I was on my way, lifting, jogging, biking etc And my weight was under control..., but somehow I got lost. It isn't hard. Can't watch a ball game without seeing ads for unhealthy junk food. Food options are filled with high calorie unhealthy choices. Early this summer, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and it scared me. I had become one of those guys. Belly so bloated it hung over my belt and stuck out from under my shirt. Yuck.
Now I am slowly on my way back. Fitness has improved tremendously in 4 months, weight is slowly coming off. Waistline starting to recede. Started biking in the summer. Now lifting a couple of times a week. Even started running on the treadmill in the last couple of weeks as the weather has gotten too cold to have much fun biking.0 -
