low carb/glycemic bars

I was diagnosed with PCOS about a week and a half ago and have been following a lower carb/low glycemic index lifestyle (I still eat fruit and have one serving of complex carbs (kashi, oatmeal, etc) a day. I'm traveling via plane in a few days and am trying to find some foods that I can take on an airplane (that don't require refrigeration) and to travel with that are low glycemic. I already have planned to take some nuts (almonds, pistachios, peanuts)..but they get boring (is it ok to add a bit of unsweetened dried fruit/dark chocolate?) and some fruit (apple w/ PB, etc). I'm looking to get some sort of protein or granola bar or something (without too much added sugar alcohol/junk--upsets my stomach..) that I can take with me. Does anyone recommend any good ones? I'd be willing to make some from scratch as well if anyone has any ideas on recipes. Thank you!

Quest bars are great. From the various brands I've looked at, they have the best balance. High quality protein, fairly low calories, by far the most fiber, and lowest net carbs. No sugar added. Some hsve no sugar alcohols, some have a very little.0
