security for facebook..

I wanted to make another facebook, but it logged me out and told me i needed a security code to log back in. which is fine.
the only problem is..i dont have a cell phone. and the only way i could get the security code was through a text message..

did this happen to anyone else?
what did you do if you didnt have texting?
