I was going to ask this!
I started jogging on the spot today as I didn't have time to get out for my usual 8 mile walk. I was listening to the radio but the problem was there was too much talking between songs and the songs that were played were usually too slow for me to get a rhythm going.
I want to try more jogging and less walking so I need some pumping music to keep my legs doing the same. :bigsmile:0 -
Telephone-Lady Gaga
Can't you out of my head-Kylie Minogue
Gettin Jiggy wit it-Will Smith
Dance Again-Jennifer Lopez
Cha ching-Hedley
these are just a few of my favorites for running : )0 -
You look a lot younger than I do, but I grew up listening to the great music of the 70s and 80s. I stopped listening to that genre of music for a while and listened to contemporary Christian music exclusively. I recently decided to download a few tunes and it brought back memories. I've since downloaded tunes by Earth, Wind, and Fire, Prince, Rick James, Gap Band, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, just to name a few. Try some of those songs you really liked when you were younger that remind you of the happy times of days gone by.0

Great posts!!! I was running the other day and a slower song came on, instantly I was running slower. So for me faster songs keep me running without slowing down.0

I invested in a Motoactv by Motorola. It's a GPS sportswatch that has a built in MP3 player. The neat thing is that once you load your music on, it'll "tag" songs that you tend to pick up your pace to and create a "fitness playlist" for you. Takes a few runs for it to figure out which songs motivate you, but I think it's a great feature....just when I feel myself slowing down, it'll play something that picks me right up.0

I start off with "Speedy Gonzalez" and end up with "walking After Midnight"0

It's perfect when you are just launching into a long straight stretch.
Spencer Davis Group - I'm a Man - a song from back in the day when men were men and were proud of it!0 -
I tend to stream my local radio station (89xradio.com) for alternative rock. But I do have a playlist for when poor reception makes streaming not possible. It consists mostly of the songs 89X plays anyway. I have noticed that Kid Rock's peppier stuff has a good running beat. And Gangnam style is great and makes me smile LOL.0
