Questions about snow activities

Does anyone have suggestions about entering snow activities such as shovelling snow or walking in deep snow (mid calf to knee deep) without snowshoes?

    When I shovel my driveway, which takes about 30 minutes, I put
    it under Aerobics, general. For me, thats like a catch all for anything
    I do that gets my heart rate up, but there isn't a clear cut activity.

    I used my HRM 2 days in a row to shovel my driveway. The first day the snow was light and fluffy. I burned just under 200 calories in approx 30 minutes. The next day the snow was heavier and slushier. It took me 45 minutes to shovel the same driveway and approx same depth of snow. The calorie count was over 450 calories.
