I have a SERIOUS craving for some fried chicken strips, like those from Chick fila or Burger King, or omg Popeye's. I've found several recipes for healthier versions but they all have corn flakes and I can't stand corn flakes. I appreciate the help!

Soak thawed chicken strips in milk for 20 minutes,
In a large bag/bowl put 1 c flour, 2 tsp paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger, and any and all other seasonings you like! Roll or shake the chick in the mixture until generously coated.
Bake on a LIGHTLY greased cookie sheet at 400, 20 minutes, turn chicken, another 20. If it's not quite crispy yet, leave it in until it's a nice crispy golden brown. Very important that the pan is not too greasy or else the chicken will never get crispy!
Tastes like fried chicken. but isn't! Enjoy!0 -
You can use plain fiber one, oatmeal or crushed nuts instead0

i use seasoned italiian breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs.. bake in a 400F oven with a little olive oil0

I use almond meal and parmesan cheese, mixed with some italian seasoning to coat chicken strips. My kids love them and it's healthier than standard crumb coatings.0

eww i'd probably rather go for corn flakes. lol. i'm mostly going for low calorie, but i've been keeping it under the allotted carbs too, mostly by chance.0 -

OMG don't remind me! I'm soooooooo glad I'm completely broke til Friday. Otherwise, I'd have a BIG ol order for lunch. And I refuse to even buy from there anymore, but with this craving, I would do it anyways. And those stupid Popeye''s commercials... UGH0 -
I coat my chicken with either sour cream or greek yogurt (whatever I have handy) and then use panko bread crumbs, spray with cooking spray and bake for about 20 mins- love it!0
