Howdy...totally new here but not new to the weight loss/fitness game. Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 6 or so years ago after gaining over 60 lbs throughout an 8 year period has led me to seek a healthy lifestyle. Of course, after having the disorder undiagnosed, I wasn't able to reverse the effects with thyroid therapy, so I take those to maintain and work my butt off to lose.
I had a successful run with the South Beach diet 4 years ago, which brought me down 30 pounds and from a size 14 to a tight 8, nice 10---but, I haven't been following up. Took up Zumba last fall which I loved and found this site while doing a search on the 30 Day Shred video. Currently back on Phase 1 of South Beach and I'm L1D7 of the Shred.
My goal is to lose 40 pounds by my 40th birthday (late March)...I don't weigh myself very often but I think I've lost about 6.
I'm a homeschooling-petsitting-animal loving-actress and wife...my son is 13 and sometimes he even works out with me!
