The home straight - time to up cals?

Hi all, I started thisMFP journey with about 20 pounds to lose (after losing 6 pounds already) - I now have between 9-10 (depending on which scales I believe).
My net calorie goal is 1460 - for a 1 pound a week weight loss, and I must admit it hasn't been hard (with an extra 300-ish cals a day from exercise)
Now I am in the home straight, I am thinking of perhaps upping my cal goals my 50 a week till I hit what MFP says is my goal for .5 pound, and staying there till I hit maintainance.
Does this make sense? Would it be a good strategy. I can't imagine going straight to .5 pound weight loss - that's like a whole extra meal a day!
Advice please....(and I'll even open my diary so I can get proper feedback)

That's what I like - an enabler!0 -
i have been maintaining for a year or so, until recently as i now want to lose a little more bodyfat so i am on a slight deficit.
when i was losing weight initially, i was set to lose 1lb per week until i was 4lbs from goal. i didnt feel i needed to change my cals before then as i was continually losing around a pound per week. my cals went from 1200 to 1460, which wasnt too bad. it was after that that seems weird to be TRYING to eat more (getting up to maintenance of NET 1800) without it being junk food. i found a portion of nuts was a great extra snack and added about 100 cals easily, so i added that as a morning snack, and then just went for slightly bigger portions, and 'full fat' stuff - cottage cheese was my main one, instead of low fat.

Yeah, I'm not finding it hard to stay on track for 1 pound a week - I'm eating decent meals and not feeling deprived (expect, maybe for my usual glass of wine each evening). I haven't seen a plateau (yet) so it; not like I want to up the cals so I can eat more (although that would be nice!) but it's more like if I suddenly go from that to .5 or even maintenance, it just seems such a big leap.
Thanks again0
