30 Day Shred Level 1 only 140 calories?

I have a HRM but it doesn't seem to work al the time. Sometimes it misses my heartbeat (its a New Balance one). THere have been times I've been working very hard and it only says 90 BPM. But it's hard to tell when it does/doesn't work. I feel ike the strap doesn't fit well, and I think it has to do with me being large in the chest area. (any other women have that problem?)
Anyway, just did day 1 of 30 day shred with HRM. I started with 2.5lb weights as I only had those or 5 pounds. ANyway after 27 minutes it says I burned only 140 calories. Does that seem right? I'm 5'7", 38 years old, and weigh about 164.

    Put in 20 minutes of Circuit Training, general in the MFP database and see if it is very far off. MFP shows that for me, I burn about twice that, but then I am 225 pounds, so I would burn more by virtue of my weight.

    I burn around 200 cals. But I am heavier than you atm
